Time On Your Own

Time on your own
Can be a lonely thing,
No-one to talk to,
No-one to bring
You news of the World,
Or opinions told,
Sat with your thoughts
In an empty household.
You might read a book,
Or watch the TV;
That's fine 'til you're bored
And you need company.
But when they return
And your silence is blown,
You'll wish for a little more
Time on your own.
