Conversation With Carreras

E sara cosi, I am told,
Through endowed beautific tones.
To this philosophy I behold.

Upon a vesper Norfolk wold,
A shining glow of daylight's loan,
E sara cosi, I am told.

Wherein my mind my thoughts patrolled
To rid a lifetime's rigid groans.
To this philosophy I behold.

Shakespeare's tragedy unfolds,
His star-crossed lovers' fate is known.
E sara cosi, I am told.

A butterfly's silkenwings have strolled
Within the flesh that lifts my bones.
To this philosophy I behold.

His sanguine vision I enfold
Within the pools amongst the stones.
E sara cosi, I am told.
To this philosophy I behold.
