Invader

Caught on the tiles
While the bathroom lights glare,
Its bulbous torso cloaked in hair.

But eight legs bent and sprung,
Can sprint with such celerity
When lights go out.

And stop
Without slide or counterbalance
When a click gives a glow once more.

Waiting.
