The Road Less Travelled

I sit and wonder 'bout my life
And think about the road less travelled.
Would I be sat here just the same
If all my choices lay unravelled?

Opportunities ignored,
So thrust upon a path to trouble.
Decisions made when life felt good
But which turned 'round to burst the bubble.

Words retracted, deeds undone;
If time and choice were less obdurate.
But we must bear the web that's spun
And hope our fate is more consid'rate.
